Our Mission
AndhraPravasi is an independent Telugu news publisher serving readers in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and the global Telugu diaspora. Our mission is to deliver accurate, timely, and context-rich journalism on politics, business, sports, entertainment, NRI affairs, and community life.
Editorial decisions are made by our newsroom, not by advertisers, political parties, or outside investors. We do not publish paid news disguised as independent reporting.
Editorial Independence
AndhraPravasi maintains a firewall between the newsroom and commercial teams. Advertisers and sponsors cannot review or approve news stories before publication. Marketing and branded content are always clearly labeled.
Our journalists are expected to decline gifts, favours, or travel that could compromise their independence. Staff must disclose any personal, financial, or family relationship that could affect coverage of a subject.
Sourcing & Verification
We rely on primary sources wherever possible: official documents, court filings, government notifications, direct interviews, and on-the-record statements. Anonymous sources are used sparingly and only when the information is materially important and cannot be obtained otherwise.
- Two-source rule: Sensitive allegations are corroborated by at least two independent sources before publication when feasible.
- Document verification: Images, videos, and leaked documents are checked for authenticity, date, and context before use.
- Translation: Telugu and English versions are edited for accuracy; meaning is never altered for sensational effect.
- Breaking news: Developing stories are updated as facts are confirmed. We avoid speculation presented as fact.
Accuracy Standards
Every story is reviewed by at least one editor before publication. Headlines must accurately reflect the body of the article. We distinguish clearly between news reporting, analysis, and opinion.
When we make an error, we correct it promptly and transparently. See our Corrections Policy for details on how updates are labeled and archived.
Conflicts of Interest
Journalists do not cover stories in which they have a direct financial or personal stake. Contributors who write opinion pieces disclose relevant affiliations at the end of the article.
AndhraPravasi does not endorse political candidates in news coverage. Editorials and opinion columns, when published, are labeled as such and do not speak for the entire newsroom unless explicitly stated.
User-Generated Content
Comments, letters, and reader submissions may be moderated for relevance, accuracy, and civility. We do not publish content that promotes hate, violence, or deliberate misinformation. Moderation decisions are made by editorial staff, not advertisers.
Use of Technology & AI
We may use digital tools, including artificial intelligence, to assist with transcription, translation drafts, headline suggestions, and data analysis. AI never replaces human editorial judgment. All published content is reviewed and approved by our editors. Read our full AI Content Policy.
Google Discover & News Transparency
AndhraPravasi aligns editorial and technical practices with publisher transparency expectations for Google Discover and Google News. We focus on reader trust, not algorithm tricks.
- Accurate headlines: Headlines describe verified facts; we avoid clickbait, sensational exaggeration, and misleading curiosity gaps.
- Named authorship: Stories credit journalists or our news desk, with public About and Editorial Policy pages and author profiles where available.
- Publish and update dates: Articles show when they were first published and when they were materially updated.
- High-quality preview images: Hero and share images are typically at least 1200px wide with descriptive alt text and accurate captions where applicable.
- Structured data: We publish NewsArticle metadata (headline, author, publisher, dates, section, and images) to help platforms understand our stories.
- Corrections: Errors are corrected openly per our Corrections Policy.
- Sponsored content: Advertising and partner material is labeled and separated from independent news coverage.
Placement in Google Discover or Google News is not guaranteed. We publish this policy to document how we earn reader trust.
